CPR Repairs Leak In Place on 72″ CCW Metal Bellows

CUSTOMER: A nuclear power plant in Ontario

APPLICATION DATE: 2003 & 2005

PROBLEM: Corrosion inside bellows possibly caused during unit layup resulted in leak to bellows. Bellows operates under vacuum at approximately 100F.

SUBSTRATE: Steel

APPLICATION METHOD: After surface preparation CPR Material was applied to hole and surrounding area on bellows.

CPR FACTS: Additional repairs were carried out on second unit in 2005. CPR repair avoided need for bellows replacement which would have taken valuable weeks during unit restart and cost 20 times as much as the CPR repair.
