CPR Shims Machinery Mounting
CUSTOMER: Steel company in Hamilton, Ontario
APPLICATION DATE: December 2000
PROBLEM: Pinch Roller Frame on #2 Coiler was warped and instead of machining the
customer wanted to use our products to pick up the slack.
We used an extended working life paste grade material.
SUBSTRATE: Carbon Steel
CPR: Upper and lower plates were grooved out to allow better flow of the materials. Perimeter was dammed in with our quick setting paste grade and allowed to cure. Finally a fluid grade material cartridge injected into the injection holes that were predrilled in the top plate.
PHOTOGRAPHS
Pinch roll frame blasted to near white metal finish
All areas are degreased with MEK.
Tracking ground into substrate and degreased again.
Top plate in place with shims and injected with our fluid grade materials.
